At this point Mitt Romney would probably have to be wearing a "McCain/Romney 08" button over each eye during television interviews to be any more obvious in his interest to be named John McCain's running mate. Earlier today on MSNBC Mitt may have gotten a little carried away when he declared that, "John McCain understands military strategy. He after all was the person who authored some time ago the philosophy that said a surge would work in Iraq." And later in the interview: "He understands what it takes to be successful on foreign battlefields because he's been there, he's been trained there."
