You may have seen Joe Lieberman on Meet the Press yesterday refer to Barack Obama not once but twice as a "young man." This morning it was potential vice presidential pick Mitt Romney calling Obama a "well-spoken, handsome young man." Romney also unveiled another new McCain campaign product for public consumption: Obama as Internet date.



So Romney drops the "well-spoken, handsome young man" line at the :57 mark, but also be sure to check out the 1:29 mark where Romney says, "well-spoken, attractive y-, uh, man," apparently stopping himself from saying the word "young." Hm, did he hold back that time because he was answering an explicit question about the possible racist overtones of McCain's recent ads? Could it have been Romney's conscience struggling to stop the word from coming out? Or did a McCain strategist give him a just 1 young-man-bomb / day allowance? YOU make the call!
