Romney Confronted With, Defeated By "Very Serious Charge"

Earlier in the same Situation Room interview noted below Wolf Blitzer confronted Mitt Romney head-on with the "very serious charge" (Wolf's words) that Obama has been making of late that John McCain hasn't done anything in his 26 years in Washington to help America achieve energy independence. Can you name one legislative accomplishment that McCain has produced, Blitzer asked Romney, in response to this charge?

Ok now Mitt, remember - you're on the short, short list to be McCain's VP choice. This is your big audition. Crucial test here, man. Look alive. We're all reeeeaaaaally pullin' for you. Now step up there and knock this one out of the park. Come on now - ONE bill!

"I'm not a historian," was Romney's answer. Then he changed the subject.

Miiiiiiiiitt!!!
