TPMtv: Blame Game
Forget rapacious CEOs, regulation-busting politicians, and the lobbyists that are keeping the whole system afloat (that is, until it got hit by a torpedo and sank). Republicans have found the real culprit behind the meltdown: Past Dem administrations and minority homeowners!

That's sure how it sounded on NPR this morning. I think that the yahoo-on-the-street has pretty much already absorbed this message.

So we have been on the edge of a financial crisis since Carter???? Also could someone let FOX news know that it was really Rick Davis that wanted to make loans to minorities. Give me a break!

This is a video that should be sent via email and through the print media to anyone who will listen. If I ever had any doubt that there were racist idiots on FOX I now have none.

A lovely Republican woman told me one time, in essence, "The Poor People Stole All The Money"
Republicans really believe this.
The $1,000,000,000,000 ( rounding up ) for the bailout is not coming from the Treasury. The Treasury is EMPTY.
The bailout is being borrowed on our country's credit line. The citizenry, eventually, must pay back this amount, in cash or by inflation. They also have to pay for the wars and all the other money blown by Republicans.
Giving One Trillion to Wall Street to whack up, unsupervised, is the stupidest greediest most mendacious idea ever.
Taking a 'tax cut' while blithely allowing the Treasury to borrow without restriction is beyond bone-headed. Treasury borrow-and-spend IS a tax.
